People say that what we’re all seeking is a meaning for life…..I think that what we’re seeking is an experience of being alive

Joseph Campbell

I offer an integrative approach to supervision, based on the Hawkins & Shohet model, with a focus on embodied and relational awareness. My work is informed by mindfulness, neuroscience, and an understanding of the importance of the systemic and transpersonal in all relationships.

Individual

Individual Supervision is intended to offer a safe place to explore and contemplate the work you are engaging in.  We will jointly explore the interface between the personal and professional, with an awareness of parallel process. I aim to provide a holding and sometimes challenging experience for you, so that you can offer the same in your work.

My intention with supervision is to explore the greatest possible range of interventions that will further the work that you are doing, without making judgments about what is right or wrong to do. It is intended to be a deeply satisfying and supportive professional relationship. Supervision can be in-person or online.

Fees: £80/hr

Groups

Online Supervision Groups are spaces where therapists from different trainings and backgrounds can develop their clinical practice and their understanding of the therapeutic process. The idea behind this is that the group is able to pick up on the ‘unconscious’ of the client. It is intended to be a creative process, a free-floating space – thereby enabling something to emerge from the exploration that can be ‘given back’ to the client.  In addition to this, the intention is for the group to feel more confident in helping each other.

Organisational

These online groups are often run with a colleague, and we have a particular interest in supporting third sector organisations working with domestic or sexual violence.  We offer ongoing monthly online groups designed to provide a structured, reflective space for staff to identify and understand how exposure to complex behaviours in service users may influence the emotional responses of employees of the organisation, the team dynamics, and also professional boundaries. We believe that the very dynamics and toxicities that staff are exposed to — for example, manipulation, denial, minimisation, and control—can be unconsciously imported into team interactions and organisational culture.
